Herman Upmann, originally a banker from Germany, was so enamoured with Cuban cigars that he relocated to Havana in 1844 to pursue both banking and cigar-making. Although his bank closed in the early 1920s, his cigars continue to stand as a distinguished example of refined, light to medium-bodied Habanos.

The H. Upmann blend features exclusively filler and binder tobaccos sourced from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region.

The brand’s legacy is further solidified by the numerous gold medals it earned at eleven prestigious international exhibitions throughout the 19th century, which are proudly displayed on the brand’s labelled boxes.
