Hermann Upmann, a German banker with a deep passion for Cuban cigars, moved to Havana in 1844 and established both a bank and a cigar brand. While the bank eventually closed in the early 1920s, his legacy endures through the H. Upmann cigars, which continue to represent the refined, light to medium-flavoured character of a classic Habano.

Crafted exclusively with long filler tobaccos from the esteemed Vuelta Abajo region, these cigars are renowned for their balance and subtle complexity. The brand’s prestige is reinforced by its success in no fewer than eleven international exhibitions in the 19th century, with gold medals still proudly featured on its packaging.

Measuring 4¾ inches (120mm) in length with a robust 54 ring gauge, the Magnum 54 is the widest format in the H. Upmann standard range. Introduced as part of the Magnum line alongside the Magnum 46 and Magnum 50, it is elegantly presented in varnished boxes of 25 and 10 cigars and distinguished by a second band displaying its name.
