Vegueros is a brand deeply rooted in the tradition and history of Cuban tobacco cultivation. Originating in the Vuelta Abajo zone of Pinar del Río, the heart of Cuba’s tobacco-growing region, Vegueros was initially introduced in 1996 as a full-bodied brand. It paid homage to the countless generations of farmers, or veguero, who have worked the land and cultivated the world’s finest tobacco.

After a relaunch in 2013, Vegueros underwent a subtle change with a medium-bodied blend, new sizes, and packaging in unique tins of 16 cigars, along with smaller packs of 4 cigars. The cigars still reflect their rustic edge, staying true to the heritage of Cuban cigar-making, and the names of their new vitolas continue to be inspired by the vocabulary of Cuban farmers.

The "Centrofinos" is one such vitola, named after Centro Fino, the classification for the sun-grown tobacco leaves taken from the middle part of the tobacco plant. These leaves, often Seco in nature, are valued for their aromatic richness and satisfying flavor profile, making them an essential component in the blend of this unique cigar.
