The Oliva Cigar journey began in the late 1800s when Melanio Oliva first started cultivating cigar tobacco in Cuba. While his descendants carried on this proud family tradition, it was Gilberto Oliva Sr., Melanio’s grandson, who began the cigar-making legacy that continues today.

Thanks to the superior quality of Nicaraguan tobacco, Oliva found its place in the hearts of cigar aficionados. In 2006, Oliva’s breakthrough came with the release of the Oliva Serie V, crafted by a small group of expert rollers and blended for both strength and style. The Serie V was an immediate success. In 2012, the Melanio version was introduced to honour the first Oliva to grow cigar tobacco. It’s distinguished by a unique Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador, creating a richer, more refined flavour profile than its predecessor.

The Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuarado was awarded Cigar of the Year 2014 by Cigar Aficionado, lauded for its rich notes of leather, coffee, caramel, and wood. It's a cigar with complexity and depth, a classic choice for the connoisseur.

The Oliva Serie V blend features a medium-to-full strength profile, using a combination of Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos with specially fermented Jalapa Valley ligero. The high-priming Sun Grown Wrapper completes the cigar, providing an exceptional, well-rounded smoking experience.
